Founded in 2015, Get In Her Ears is a website, monthly Soho Radio show and London-based live night dedicated to promoting and supporting women & non-binary people in music and creating safe, inclusive spaces at our events.
We have been featured in The Guardian, The Independent, The Evening Standard, DIVA Magazine, NME, CLASH, HuffPost UK, gurlstalk, The Herald (Edinburgh), The Croydonist and The Tung. We were also featured as part of the Mayor of London’s Sounds Like London initiative in 2018.
We have spoken about our work on BBC Radio 6 (Craig Charles’ Trunk Of Punk), contributed to Kerrang! DJ Hope Lyne’s award-winning audio documentary A New Age Of Riot Grrrl and we’ve been interviewed on the Sounding Out podcast, the Cool Thing Presents radio show and The Irish Jam radio show.
We have also spoken on panels at events at Southbank Centre (Jazz Festival, Women in Music Breakfast event), Skivvy Records (Women in Music Panel) and Dance Like I’ve Got Diamonds.
We currently host regular gig nights across London, most frequently at The Cavendish Arms in Stockwell, The Shacklewell Arms in Dalston, Sebright Arms in Bethnal Green and are soon to host a gig at queer space The Divine. We have previously hosted gigs at The Finsbury Pub (2016-2020), Notting Hill Arts Club (2018-2019), The Victoria in Dalston, The Amersham Arms in New Cross and we’ve collaborated with Sofar Sounds (2020).
We presented a weekly radio show on Hoxton Radio between 2015-2021, before moving to Soho Radio in May 2021.
